Maria's Bio

I am a 2st year Master student; Life Science Track.

My background is FdV bachelor at CRI.

Before coming to CRI, I have studied the first year of medicine, where I discovered my interest for biochemistry and molecular biology.

In 2019, I did my exchange semester at the University of Quebec at Rimouski (UQAR), where I studied Genetics, Biochemistry, Methabolism and Biostatistics.

I was also intern in Jake Wintermute's team: House of Transgenes. My interniship project way to genetically modify bacteria that would serve as a model for anti-tuberculosis drug screening.

My second intenship project was on developing a new in vitro directed evolution method at ESPCI Paris.

I am interested in learning more about synthetic biology, metabolic engineering and research. :)

Personal Bio

In my spare time I do rollerblading, slalom, bead weaving and learning languages by singing.

I am also a F1 fan :)
